Drawing from studies on pain, anxiety, PTSD, phobias, and cognitive impairments, this paper maps both the benefits and limits of VR in clinical care, from cybersickness to poor standardization. Grounded in research and personal experience, it argues for VR systems designed with HCI principles and medical standards so they can become scalable, everyday tools in healthcare.
